Carry Your Love This has become a Caedmon's Call marathon but I don't care becuase their new album is sooooo good. Oh man. So here we go... We are called out; we are ransomed We are not of the world we’re in We are chosen; we are blessed To bring light to the lives of men So Father sow Your seed Give us life in community Wake us from our sleep This is Your time; this is Your place And we are vessels for breaking Under Your grace, we are led by Your spirit You have redeemed us by the blood of Your Son Send down Your Word; we are eager to hear it Ready our hearts to carry Your love You are sunlight; You are morning You’re the hope of a brand new day You are comfort; You are blessing And You wipe all our tears away So change us from within Render miracles from our sin Remind us once again This is Your time; this is Your place We are vessels for breaking Gosh, they are so good. Two lines stood out to me. The one that goes "Wake us...this is your place" in the first verse relates to our time in a new school year. As you probably already know, the World Trade Center incident was a major wake up call for America and specifically for Christians in America. God is teaching us to rely more on Him, etc. etc. But this is His time and place. The campus you are on is rightfully His. Not in the bureaucracy of the school system, but within the hearts of your fellow classmates. We are being given an awesome opportunity to spread His kingdom. We will see miracles if we just say "ok" to God. He's calling us every day. It's time to hear and say "yes". The second line which relates to basically the same thing. "Render miracles...your place." He has the power and the willingness to change the world. Tragedy in our lives is a reminder of our need for Him. I don't want another wake up call. I don't want to see another tragedy. He can take a wretched sinner such as I and do wonders. God is so good. |
